NARRATIVE:

Dr. Rovniak conducts research on social, environmental, and policy-level factors influencing health behavior across multiple health domains, including physical activity, AIDS prevention and tobacco control. Her research emphasizes the design and implementation of theory-based community-level interventions for diverse populations. She is currently PI on an NIH K99/R00 career development grant to explore how to engineer social networks via email and the Internet to improve long-term maintenance of physical activity.
