Heralding from a military family, Dr. Raab graduated high school in Carlisle while his father was stationed at the U.S. Army War College. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Stanford, CA. Prior to pursuing his medical education, he worked as a high school biology teacher, basketball coach and athletic director for four years in California. Dr. Raab later earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. He then completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Penn State Hershey. Dr. Raab furthered his orthopaedic training with a Fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. He then spent a year in private practice in Knoxville, TN before returning to Pennsylvania and joining the faculty at Penn State Hershey.

With an interest in Orthopaedics because of its hands-on, tangible nature, Dr. Raab desires to make a significant impact on each of his patient's lives. He particularly enjoys getting to know his patients and their families as he helps them gain improvement in their quality of life through joint replacement. As an Adult Reconstruction specialist, Dr. Raab's interest include primary and revision hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Raab and his wife, Jamie, have five very active children. In his leisure time Dr. Raab enjoys working around the house and yard, participating in church activities and the athletic endeavors of his children, volunteering as a Young Life camp physician and watching all kinds of sports.
