Background
PREFERRED TITLE/ROLE:

Assistant Professor of Neurology

SECONDARY APPOINTMENT(S)/ INSTITUTE(S)/ CENTER(S):

Pharmacology

EDUCATION:

Dr. Mechelle Lewis received her degree in neurobiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . In particular, she researched dopamine receptors and Parkinson's disease, how agonists interact with dopamine receptors, and the molecular underpinnings of dopamine agonist tolerance. Dr. Lewis did postdoctoral training in molecular pharmacology and, more recently, completed a fellowship in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)
