Background
PREFERRED TITLE/ROLE:

Professor of Microbiology and Cell Biology

NARRATIVE:

Dr. Mastro's research focuses on the relationships between breast cancer and the immune system, and exercise, diet and the immune system. She studies the interaction of bone metastatic breast cancer cells with osteoblasts. Research models include cell culture, a bioreactor tissue model and animal model of disease.
